Elite Summer Training
Summer Elite Training
These spring and summer skills skates—running May-August—are for elite players looking for specific, hands-on skill development rather than reps and simple time on ice. Some of these skills include:
• Zone entries and odd man rushes
• Shot mechanics and skills (changing angle, redirects, quick releases, tipping
• Stick on puck/ body contact/ angling and attacking
• Deception in attacking and possession
• Executing net drives/ odd angle attacks/ breakaways
• Creating and isolating 2v1s across ice
The numbers are limited to keep the player-coach interaction heavy, and to keep the focus, intensity, and tempo of the skates. The players will also be able choose their own areas of focus to be added into the sessions; the main goal is to give players the opportunity to work on individual or special skills that they otherwise are not getting in additional skates or team practices.
The payment for the first half of skates (May-June 10) is due upfront ($360). The remainder of cost ($360) is due June 10th. If a player is unable to attend one of the skates, they can find another compatible player to fill their spot (player must be approved by a coach).
We look forward to providing an opportunity for elite players to have a strong group of other players to train hard, work on their skills, and push each other to move into next season prepared to excel!
All skates are at OSU Ice Rink from 7:00-8:00pm
